Concepts Have Penalties
Varied bloggers and article writers have accomplished a wonderful job of laying out the numerous errors of Stanford professor Paul Ehrlich, whom CBS lately devoted a segment to on “60 Minutes.”
So I gained’t hassle to repeat their cogent criticisms.
Yesterday I went to the Wall Road Journal to see a letter by my good friend and economist colleague Francois Melese through which he took on Ehrlich. It’s a wonderful letter. Then I learn one of many different letters and felt profoundly unhappy for the author, Kenneth Emde of Woodbury, Minnesota.
I used to be a school scholar once I learn Mr. Ehrlich’s “The Inhabitants Bomb.” I took it to coronary heart and now haven’t any grandchildren, however 50 years later the inhabitants has elevated to eight billion with out dire penalties. I used to be gullible and silly.
